Horizon 2020 - Dedicated SME Instrument

Horizon 2020 funds high-potential innovation through a dedicated SME instrument.

Programme: The SME instrument consists of three separate phases and a coaching and mentoring service for beneficiaries.
Programme: A joint programme supporting R&D performing SMEs. It is co-funded from the national budgets of 34 Eurostars countries and by the European Union through Horizon 2020.

Made Smarter

Grants of up to 50% to support SMEs to develop Industrial Digital Technology. This is initially launching as a pilot in the North West of England. £20m of funding is available in this first round to support R&D projects, capital purchases, training, consultancy and student placements.

SME support to evaluate innovative medical technologies: Round 4

Programme: UK businesses can apply for support to develop innovative medical devices, diagnostics or regulated digital technology and to evaluate their product in a real world clinical setting. Products must be CE marked and not been marketed for more than 5 years. Projects must be led by an SME.
