Grant funding

Generous grant funding is available to UK and European companies of all sizes. These include capital grants, R&D grants, Horizon 2020 funding and Eurostars.

The range of grants has expanded with the launch of the UK Industrial Challenge Strategy Fund providing an additional £1bn investment. Grants range from £50,000 to £4m and typically fund 70% of total project costs, with some schemes funding as much as 100%.

Innovation loans are available ranging from £100,000 to £1m for projects lasting up to five years. Aimed at those developing game-changing or disruptive ideas, these funds have extremely favourable repayment terms.

There are a wide range of additional sources of financial and investment support we can assist UK companies to secure.

The criteria for grant funding is often complex. Engaging the specialist team at Markel Tax will significantly improve the chances of success. Our grant funding specialists typically secure over £15 million in grant funding for UK businesses per year.
