VAT: domestic reverse charge for building and construction services

Significant changes to VAT in the construction industry become effective on 1 October 2019.  Our guide considers issues to address in preparing for this change.

On 1 October 2019, a new law will introduce a major change to the way businesses in the construction industry will charge VAT.
The new rules should be considered by sub-contractors, contractors and any parties which have any work done to any property in the UK as they might be required to inform their contractors that they do not fall under these new rules.

We have recorded a short webinar (weblink below) to cover the salient points to consider, which lasts less than 15 minutes.  Just fill in your name and email address and you will be able to watch.

We reported more fully on the proposed changes in December 2018, which you can read here
