HMRC’s tax return extension: Markel Tax has you covered

HMRC have granted a tax return extension whereby if the return is filed after 31 January, but before 28 February, they will not charge the £100 late-filing penalty.

At Markel Tax, we’ve continuously made sure your policy is designed to respond and support you and your clients through times of uncertainty and change such as this.

As standard, your Markel Tax FPI policy has always extended to an additional 90 days beyond an HMRC deadline anyway, providing you with additional peace of mind.

That’s why you can rest assured that if you or one of your clients is now looking to file self-assessment tax returns later than 31 January, it’ll still be covered by your policy.

If you require any further advice, Markel clients can contact our tax advice line on 0333 305 3667 or visit HMRC’s website.  If you or your clients do not currently benefit from a Markel policy, you can find out more information on our website.
